Arunachal: NHPC distributes Scholarship to Students of Govt Schools

As part of the ongoing CSR activities of NHPC Dibang Multipurpose Project, NHPC Scholarship (School) was presented to Ego Doye, Deputy Director (School Education), District Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) by Gobinda Baidya, Executive Director, DMP on Wednesday.
A cheque for Rs 3,26,400/- (Rupees Three Lac Twenty Six Thousand and Four Hundred only) was handed over on the occasion to be further distributed to 39 meritorious students belonging to economically weaker families of Government Schools of District Lower Dibang Valley.
The function organized at the Training Hall, DMP was attended by Obang Langkam, Block Education Officer, Head Quarter, School Education, LDV and Bengia Nyer, Manager (Civil) / Co-ordinator, CSR Committee, DMP along with students and senior personnel of DMP.
NHPC DMP has been implementing this Scheme of Scholarship in Schools for the last many years based on the percentage of marks. Cash awards in the tune of Rs 6,000/-, Rs 8,000/-, Rs 10,000/- & Rs 12,000/- were given to students of annually Standards (I-IV), (V-VII), (VIII-X) & (XI-XII) respectively.
While speaking on the occasion, ED, DMP motivated students to perform well not only in studies but also in extra-curricular activities. Doye expressed gratitude to NHPC for implementing such good Schemes for improving the Education scenario of the District. He requested for more fruitful association like this in future as well.
The CSR Committee, DMP comprises Bengia Nyer, Manager (Civil), B. Mushahary, Manager (Human Resources), Tage Lomdak, Manager (Civil). Dr Namloo Nalo, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Tem Perme, Deputy Manager (Electrical), Tajen Dulom, Deputy Manager (Civil), Prasanta Kumar Paul, Deputy Manager (Finance) and Rontu Chowlu, Assistant Engineer (Civil).
