Darang/ Kokrajhar

Army Camp Deomornai based at Chapai once again came up with a helping hand to villagers.  This time the Army organised a function to inaugurate construction of  community hall facility for the villagers of Namkhola in district Darrang.  Namkhola is a remote village which is devoid of adequate infrastructure facilities.

The project was inaugurated by the officials from Army Camp Chapai wherein the newly constructed community hall with toilet facility was handed over to Principal Adarsh Jatiya Vidyalaya, Salaipara (Namkhola).Picture1

Presently, the aim of this project is to provide space for staging events to the villagers.  Moreover, the same can be used as a shelter during time of floods thereby will aid in the infrastructure development of the area.  Such facilities go a long way in the development of the area as more and more youth are involved into positive activities.

Recently Indian Army distributed Furniture, School bags, stationary and sports items to the students of Jharbari High School in Kokrajhar,  as part of noble endeavour to encourage the students and promote education and sports amongst the youth.

The distribution of items by the Army has been welcomed by the students and teachers and has left a favorable and long lasting impression on the young minds.  The ceremony was hugely appreciated by the entire school staff, students, parents, local populace and civil administration.
