Aalo Hit-and-run case: 2 arrested, Motorcycle recovered
He said that Aalo police has after a month of hide and seek, arrested the duo and seized a R15 motorcycle bearing registration number AR 01H 2569.

Following a tip off, a team consisting of Inspector Yomken Riram (OC PS Aalo), SI S Basar, ASI T Nomuk (I.O of the case) and others conducted raids in Bagra village of West Siang and arrested two persons- Jopin Bagra (27) and Dakpe Bagra (24) in the Aalo hit and run case, informed West Siang SP Jummar Basar.
He said that Aalo police has after a month of hide and seek, arrested the duo and seized a R15 motorcycle bearing registration number AR 01H 2569.
The case was registered on September 12 and after four days of registration of the case the victim Poi Doji Lollen, staff of DC office, Aalo died while on treatment at a hospital in Dibrugarh.
The case was initially registered u/s 279/338 but during the investigation period the victim succumbed to the injuries sustained during the mishap and died and hence, section 304-A and other sections as found relevant during the investigation are being added in the case.
However SP Jummar Basar also appealed to the denizens to ride safely and ensure safety of oneself and others.
