Arunachal: State Level National Children’s Science Congress-2019 concludes

Two days state level 27th Children’s Science Congress (a program of NCSTC, DST, and Delhi) concluded at Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, I.G. Park, Itanagar, here today.
The programme was organized by Arunachal pradesh State Council for Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.
Out of 73 registered projects 68 projects based on Focal Theme “Science, Technology and Innovation for a Clean, Green & Healthy Nation” from different schools drawn from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh were presented by the children age group of 10-17 years focusing on solution to the local problem easily applicable by the society.
The Valedictory function was presided over by C.D. Mungyak, Director cum Member Secretary, A. P. State Council for Science & Technology, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
While appreciating the effort of the council in organizing such a wonderful event for the Children Scientists, C.D. Mungyak, emphasized that there is huge need of organizing such kind of programme on a regular basis as such type of programme is very essential for the carrier and personality development of the budding scientists.
He appreciated the dedication and hard work of both the teachers and the students all these months and making to the state level science congress with their unique ideas, knowledge and creativity with meaningful inferences. Speaking on the occasion he stated that, the NCSC is one of the best platforms to select the young talents to represent their creativeness and innovativeness from the state to represent at the national level.
Earlier, Dr. P.Lombi, Deputy Director (Tech), A.P. State Council for Science & Technology and State Coordinator, Arunachal Pradesh presented welcome address.
The projects were evaluated by the team of learned evaluators; Dr. A. Dhinamani Singh, Assosiate Professor, Department of CEC, Dr.Kunal Borah, Assistant Proffesor, Dept. of Physics, and Dr. Tage Tapang, Assistant Proffesor, Agricultural Engineering, NERIST, Nirjuli.
Out of the 68 projects presented, 10 best projects are going to be presented at National Level being organized at Thriuvannathpuram (Kerala) from December 27 to December 31, 2019 and the two best projects will also participate at Indian Science Congress being held during the month of January, 2020.
