Arunachal: Tatar Kipa, Atum Welly and others join congress

Both veteran political leader of state have represented in legislative assembly as MLA and Minister.

In a bid to strengthened the congress party two former Minister Tatar Kipa and Atum Welly deserted the ruling BJP party and joined congress at a function held at Rajiv Bhawan here today.

Both veteran political leader of state have represented in legislative assembly as MLA and Minister and have held various post previously.

Both Atum Welly and Tatar Kipa in similar letters to State BJP president Tapir Gao on Thursday have tendered their resignation form all post and primary members of the saffron party.

The resignation letter said because the party had violated the norms and procedures by announcing the candidates in advance and not following the resolution taken in the state executive meeting held at Pasighat in East Siang last year.”

The decision to recommend the candidate was to all those who are aspiring and a minimum of three candidates one assembly constituency would be recommended whereas it was not followed the BJP in its state executive, according to the duo.

Beside these two veterans , several others today joined are Dibang Valley district former ZPC Singe Milli, Gulley Summyan and Sephua Wangsu from Borduria-Bogapani Assembly constituency of Tirap and several others from Tirap and Dibang Valley district joined today in presence of APCC President Takam Sanjoy,  CLP Takam Pario, MLA Markio Tado, rank and file of APCC and hundreds of party leaders and supporters.

AICC leader Zenith Sangma, former President Padi Richo among other were also present on the occasion.

All new comers were given warm reception on the occasion and were ask to work for strengthening of the party in view of the ensuing simultaneous election in state.
