Arunachal: Re-verification of TAH begins, 36 hours Yachuli Bandh called off

The re-verification of the land acquisition for compensation for the Potin-Bopi stretch of the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) began on Monday starting from Potin.
On the same time the 36 hours Yachuli bandh call given by the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) Compensation Deprived Forum (TAHCDF) and several other organization as its second phase of democratic movement was called off partially in view of re-verification process started.
TAHCDF, Assistant General Secretary Taba Tagap said that we have called off the proposed democratic movement because the re-verification started from Potin and we also have to cooperate with the administration. However our democratic movement shall continue and a decision will be taken in due course of time, he added .
Yachuli ADC, J T Obi while informed over phone that as per direction we have started the revivification of the land on Trans Arunachal Highway at around 9 this morning from Potin and till evening we have completed around 100 plots of around 6-7 Kilometre. The verification shall continue tomorrow and will be discontinue for celebration of Independence day on August 15, again the team will continue to re-verify further on the said stretch.
Today the team consist of Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri Chukhu Takar, Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner A K Singh, all heads of department which include from Horticulture, agriculture, forest and others and are going well while public are also cooperating. Obi added.
