Asserting that festivals are the only platform which opens a door to recollect the past life of a community, and allows one to revive the lost cultural heritage of the people, Lida also stressed on need to celebrate such cultural festivals by other students studying in various institutions across the country with endorsement from govt.
Recalling contribution of former president and secretary like Joram Begi, Mige. Kamki etc in safeguarding interest of Arunachal students during their tenure in GASU, Lida requested all former students, former’s GASU members, like- minded citizens to attend the program to make it a grand success.
Organising chairman, Deo Lorrah Sangno stressed on preserving and promoting the rich culture heritage and said that the three days Carnival is open to everybody and all forms of cultural expression.
In addition to energetic tribal performances, Sangno pointed out that it is the display of traditional arts indigenous craft, food fairs and trade fairs containing traditional and contemporary elements which play a major part in this festival.
He also requested every individual living In Guwahati individuals to take out time in their day to celebrate with them in order to acquaint themselves with the rich culture and traditions of the state.
