Khandu Directed Project Official to Expedite work of Sumbachu Small Hydro Power

Chief Minister Pema Khandu directed the officials of Nortech Power, Kolkata which has taken up the construction of 3MW Sumbachu Small Hydro Power (SHP) at Zemithang, to expedite the progress of the work.
Khandu said this after inspecting the progress of work of the said small hydro power project on Sunday last. Displeased with the tardy pace of work, the CM further directed the Hydro power Department to depute an engineer to monitor the work and gave strict orders to the engineers not to abstain from their duties.
RWD Parliamentary Secretary Jambey Tashi, who also accompanied the CM expressed resentment over the slow pace of work of and called for a meeting of the corporation at Itanagar in April next. Making it clear that the Government of Arunachal Pradesh would accept no further excuses, he directed the corporation for bringing out realistic work achievements.
The CM was also accompanied by Art and Culture Minister, Dr Mohesh Chai, Parliamentary Secretary for RWD, Jambey Tashi, Parliamentary Secretary for Planning, Zignu Namchoom, Tawang MLA, Tsering Tashi, State BJP President, Tapir Gao, Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Chairman, Tungri Effa and Tawang DC, Sang Phuntsok.
