Gandhi Jayanti celebrated across the state: Governor, CM  participate in  ‘Safai Abhiyan’

In the run-up to the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the Governor and chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh participated in “Safai Abhiyan”.

In the run-up to the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) participated in a ‘Safai Abhiyan’ at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS),  on the other hand  Chief Minister Pema Khandu took part in social service Shramdhan to pick up trash of plastic waste in IG park.

HIM International School Celebrated the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji with festivities. It was also an occasion to enlighten the students with the idea Clean India (Swachh Bharat) when the Principal made it clear that the Swachh Bharat Mission for the School will be an ongoing programme. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Swachh Bharat Mission is a nation-wide campaign in India that aims at cleaning up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India’s cities, towns, urban and rural areas. Children presented various programmes related to the importance and necessity of cleanliness

Oju Welfare Association (OWA)

Oju Welfare Association (OWA) and local police station wore a new look on Wednesday after Swachha Bharat Abhiyan to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Holding brooms OWA staff led by chairperson Ratan Anya and PS personnel &, officers led by SDPO Rike Kamsi conducted the SWA. Any also donated few dustbins to the PS. Before launching the abhiyan, senior journalist-cum-OWA associate Pradeep Kumar administered swachhta pledge to all participants to the gathering including OC  inspector K Yngfo,  SIs G Tape, L Buni, B Pertin and B Doke.

2 convict inmates released on special grant of remission at District Jail Tezu

Tezu –  Under government of Arunachal Pradesh special grants of remission, 2 (two) convicted inmates Rajen Gowana and Chau Dhonanseng Nokkew were released before their actual sentence period from the District Jail Tezu on the occasions of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi here today.

Plastic free campaign

Tezu A campaign on Plastic free campaign and proper segregation of wastes mark to observe 150th Birth Anniversary Gandhi Jayanti here at the Gandhi Chowk here today. Also a cleanliness drive was conducted at the Gandhi Chowk and its surrounding in the morning by Girl NCC team Govt. Hr Sec School Tezu headed by Captain Rina Singh where they had given fresh coat to the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

Gandhi Jayanti celebrated across East Kameng

Seppa-  At Seppa, garlanding of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners of various activities on cleanliness being conducted by UD & Housing Department, chanting of patriotic songs by Donyi Polo Namlo group and prayer by school children, and pledge on cleanliness were the main highlights of the celebration.

150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Tawang

A befitting programme was organised at Massang Dung Rhuey mey(Old Market )Tawang, today to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Rich tributes were paid to the Father of Nation. The programme was followed by programme on Swachhata hi sewa and awareness . Prominent citizens of the district and brand ambassador Swachhata hi Sewa Tawang Padmashree awardee Lama Thupten Phuntsok, DC Tawang Shri Sang Phuntsok, SP Tawang Shri SSKalsi HODs Officers officials, school children, Gaon Burahs, Tourist and general public were present in the programme.

NDRF organized Swachh Bbharat Campaign 

12th bn NDRF Hollongi  carried out swachh bharat abhiyan under campaigning of swachhata hi sewa in co-ordination with rajgarh market committee of biswanath chariali district (Assam) . during the cleanliness drive, inspector Sunil Kumar Yadav, of 12th bn NDRF  along with sub inspector Mahender Singh and 25 ors ranks of d & f coy hollongi 12th bn NDRF and Nabam Rebia  , president of Rajgarh daily market and 200 civilian participated in the cleanliness programme.

Lekhi

The Venkateshwara Open University in collaboration with Youth Mission for Clean River and Nirjuli Police Station conducted clean drive in Bagey Tinali and Nirjuli area under the theme ‘Clean and plastic-free Arunachal’. A large number of students from the university, police personnel, members of RGU research scholars’ forum and YMfCR participated in the clean drive.

ICAR KVK Anjaw

ICAR KVK Anjaw successfully organised awareness programme on “Swachhata hi Sewa and No to Single Use Plastic”. On the auspicious occasion of 02nd October 2019 i.e. 150th birth anniversary of father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi and prevention use of single use plastic, ICAR KVK Anjaw successfully organized rally to say to no single use plastic and also promoted cleanliness drive at Khupa in collaboration of Government Middle School, Khupa.
