Gandhi Jayanti: RGS Stages Nukkad Natak on “Plastic Hatao”

Royal Global School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti marking the day full of enthusiasm and activities. staged a Nukkad Natak, “Plastic Hatao” themed on discarding single use plastic.

Royal Global School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti marking the day full of enthusiasm and activities. Come 2nd October and students started the day with a marathon at 5.30 am starting from the school gate covering a distance of six kilometres. The formal celebration started with the lighting of the lamp and paying a floral tribute to the father of the nation. A speech was delivered by a student highlighting the Gandhian principles with reference to the experiences of his life. Bhajans of Sabarmati Ashram echoed in the precincts of the school which created an ambience suiting the occasion. Students had a round of discussion to justify Gandhi as the father of the  nation.

Addressing  the august gathering, the Principal dilated on the relevance of Gandhian principles in one’s daily life and the need to follow them. She also urged everyone to follow the mission of Government of the nation to do away with single use plastic. Thereafter, the school fraternity took a pledge to do away with single use plastic to save the mother earth.

Soon after, the school community proceeded to different destinations of the city to stage a Nukkad Natak, “Plastic Hatao” themed on discarding single use plastic. The bystanders not only had entertainment but also a message to carry in their mind.

Overall,  the event turned out to be a happening one with the sincere efforts of the school community. The message of the day, to discard single use plastic could be spread through the city marking the day a successful one.
