The ongoing eviction drive from Chandranagar to Papu Nallahcome come to an end when the eviction party reached near the Try junction of Jully Tinali in Papu Nallah the last destination of the eviction of 1st Package of 10.5 KM.
Dc Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan in an interaction with arunachal24 after completion of eviction drive said that very important task of eviction was completed today and all these are to due to cooperation extended by the local people, building owner on ROW, public leaders, social workers and all.
Dhawan said that the eviction started on August 24 and competed today. The eviction was continued by coordinated efforts of all. Self demolition are still underway and the building owners have almost demolished their premises while few are underway. Apart of self demolition 16 major RCC infrastructure were demolished. 167 premise on left side and 127 on right side approximately have been demolished. More than 400 Vendors/hawkers either evicted or displaced from ROW or the road alignment and diversion area. 116 persons have been paid compensation which are also evicted.
Dhawan while lauding the eviction team thanks the denizens of capital complex specially Itanagar and Naharlagun area that entire stretch of road right from Chandranagar to Jully try junction of Papu Nallah now be handed over to Highway department and they will imitate to start the work soon.
He said that earlier the deadline to handover the road was fixed on September 12 but we are in advance and we are hopefully hanoer the wstretch latest by September 4 next. Few demolition and other issued are remaining and all will be either resolved or evicted before handing over of the stretch.
He thanks the team of officers specially Executive Magistrate Hanto Karga and Jiken Bomjen on left side while Tame Yajum and Liken Koyu on right side. The team of officers of Highway department which include Nani Tath, Debia Takam, L Tedi, SDPO Make Bui, OC Tabi Bage, SI K. Tao. LSI Koj Sai and official of PHED, Power and person from BSNL and other communication sectors. The team was supported by 120 IRBN personnel of cadre course, 60 IRBN personnel from Refresher course of Police Training Centre Banderdewa, 1 platoon commando force of Chimpu, lady police from capital and eviction force of capital administration.
Executive Magistrate Tame Yajum said that it was a team efforts and the eviction drive was possible and competed successfully and a good road will come up. Though there were few issue and many have been shorted out on spot. She also thanks the general public for kind cooperation
