Awareness Programme for Tea Plantation

In an effort to generate awareness on tea cultivation, the Director Siro Rijo Tea Garden Smti Yayum Gangkak organized an Awareness Camp at Siro Rijo Tea Garden recently. This is an effort to motivate Marginal Tea Growers to start tea plantation in various parts of the district as a self sustainable means.
The Sirurijo Tea Garden is not only a commercial hub but one of the most sought after potential and fascinating destination in countryside of West Siang District. Visitors and tourists from various parts are given free access to enjoy the beauty of the garden with comfortable lodging, food and transportation to drive along the garden up to Yomka Putu, the hill top of the garden. One can enjoy the scenic beauty of the nature and hear chirpings of different local and migratory birds sitting below the cool canopy of shady trees in the “No Hunting Zone” vast jungles that surround the garden.
