Assam: Royal Global School Pledge to Minimize Plastic Usage

Royal Global School Guwahati took an oath to minimize the use of plastic products within the school premise as well as at home.
The students and teachers assembled at the D’Royal Collosseum to offer their morning prayers after which the Head of School Mrs Anubha Goyal, came onstage and read out the oath. It was indeed an exotic sight to witness as the auditorium resonated with the oath being chanted in unison by the fraternity.
The students and teachers pledged to environmental degradation by educating everyone of the consequences of indiscriminate use of plastic products., especially the single use variety of plastics that are widely used. They also pledged to promote usage of commodities made of steel and glass, cloth bags as well as other eco friendly materials.
In her address, Mrs Anubha Goyal urged the gathering to promote awareness in the community about the different ways in which we have suffocated our Mother Earth thereby incurring irreversible damage. Therefore each of them need to ensure that the pledge they have undertaken helps in preventing further contribution of carbon footprints upon Mother Earth.
The assembly concluded with the Principal reading out a thought provoking message to today’s youth imploring them to implement nature friendly practices and healthy living.
