Arunachal: Police nabbed 2 ENNG UGs, recovered Arms
Police nabbed 2 UGs of Eastern Naga National Govt. (ENNG) group, recovered One Single Barrel Muzzle Loading (SBML) gun with gun powder from their possession.
In yet another major breakthrough in massive combing operation jointly launched by the Wakro Police and Madras Regiment Chowkham, Self Style Sepoy Atsui Yubin and Shanti Vijay Munda of UG group Eastern Naga National Govt. (ENNG) were nabbed today morning at Six Kilo areas near Kathan.
One Single Barrel Muzzle Loading (SBML) gun with gun powder was also recovered from their possession.
They were most wanted in several cases registered under Wakro Police Station in Lohit district for their alleged involved in Extortion, Arson, Arms Act and Robbery.
“With these we have apprehended 6 (six) UG cadres of the ENNG including self style Major Kalingjoy Chakma from Kathan and Dewan areas on 30th August 2019 and is in judicial custody. The entire operation was challenging and our boys and Army personnel traversed thick forest and jungles to overcome the operation successfully”, says DW Thungon SP Lohit.
Meanwhile, the villagers of Tilongkiong and Khatan villages as well as Tumba and its peripheral pocket of Medo have extended deep sense of gratitude to the Wakro Police and Army for their velour act to thwart out active Under Ground (UG) group from Khatan (situated adjoining Changlang border), simultaneously the villagers have already approach and submitted number of reminder to the state government to set up Police Outpost and CO office at Kathan to ensure peace and harmony in the areas.
