Arunachal: NIHRO demand gazette notification on PRC issue

The Nefa Indigenous Human Rights Organisation (NIHRO) demanded state Government to Issue a Gazette notification on Permanent Residential Certificates (PRC) so that issue for scrape in legally.
Vehemently condemning the Police firing on anti PRC protestors that led to the loss of lives and massive damages of public and Government properties during the recent movement in Capital Complex, NIHRO president Domin Loya alleged that for the benefits or interest of only one person that Dy. Chief Minister Chowna Mein ,Chief Minister Pema Khandu led BJP government bring State under problem and unrest, while addressing media person here at Arunachal Press Club today.
Actually CM khandu government has tried to give PRC to Non APST without knowing of future consequence for the interest of only one person which is very unfortunate for the State government.
The State has witnessed miscarriage of public interest and unruly governance under the leadership of CM Khandu on series of important state issues which led to the total chaos and consequent loss of many lives and damages of public properties.
Highlighting several issue like discreet firing to the innocent public and protestors, particularly, the Buddhist monks at Tawang during May 2016 on anti-dam movement. which led to the death of two lives, 19 bullet injuries out of which two persons are still bed ridden with their legs and shoulder crippled.
The endorsement of Tibetan Refugee Policy (TRP) 2014 and implementation in the state and subsequent creation of 100 Bhoti language teachers despite large scale public protest. initial stand of welcoming the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 with the statement that “CAB will not affect the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
His announcement to handover the investigation of cases to CBI in respect of Lt. Toko Yame, Lt. Ngurang Pinch, Lt. Ojing Tayeng and Lt. Kalikho Pul including the infamous PDS cases, Loya said in reality, no any conclusive or strategic action are seen officially on the ground so far. Khandu is only lying the public of state. and sought this case to handover to CBI immediately if they are in true sense doing in the greater interest of the public service.
The legal battle on the Refugee issue for which AAPSU is pursuing in the Supreme Court is also facing lack of intense persuasion due to the critical role of Chief Ministers Office with the presence of some Pro-Refugee officials. Due to this situation, there are also apprehensions of derailing the fight against refugees even in the Supreme Court of India he added.
Further NIHRO demanded thorough judicial probe into recent incidents which led to the total violation of Human Rights and Civil Liberties in the State.
And loya also informed that former AAPSU leaders are going to call a meeting and for clarification from the current AAPSU executive’s members on their stand on PRC issue and would chalk further course of action.
