Tragedy struck again in Arunachal on Saturday. Landslide claim three more live at same spot at Likabali where five ITBP personnel were lost their lives on Friday after falling boulders on ITBP bus . This time the falling boulders claimed three lives of passengers on board a Silaphatar bound Tata Sumo.
SP Lower Siang S. Singpho informed Arunachal24 that the incident took place at around 2.30 -3 pm at the same location around 5 KM from Likabali Check post.
He said that again in same sequence the boulder rolled down from the hill top and hit the passenger Tata Sumo bearing registration No- AS 22 C 2679 following which two passengers died on the spot while another one succumbed to his injuries at Community Health Centre here.
There were eight passengers (all male) on board including the driver of the Basar to Silaphatar Tata Sumo.
While three are dead, another all other five have sustained injuries, out of which one in critical condition has been rushed to Assam for further treatment. Singpho said.
SP further informed that they are yet to indentify all the deceased but added that preliminary report suggests that all were non-APSTs and two of which are identified are Mozhorul Islam of North Lakhimpur district of Assam, Dehe Kalita of Dhemaji district of Assam.
The five injured person have been identified as Arjun Pradhan, 25 year (Driver), Sanju Kuri 27 years, Bade Membom 25 years, Deepak Kumar 25 years, Depak Kumar.

A case have been registered at Likabali Police Station vide LKB UD case No 4/2018 and further investigation is on.
He also informed that the Lower Siang district administration has issued order for closure of the Likabali to Basar road for three days with effect from this evening till July 3
