Arunachal: Khandu greets people on International Labour day
Itanagar
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has greeted the people on occasion of International Labour day also called as May Day and expressed hope that the day would remind everyone of the significant role played by the labour class in building a world befitting human civilization down the ages.
“This is the day to pay our gratitude to the building blocks of our society, who through their sheer toil and hard work make the world a better place for us to live, survive and thrive. Without them development would have been impossible,” Khandu observed in a message here this evening.
He pointed that in the race for self-contentment in materialistic progress, many forget the importance of the labour class and the International Labour Day is a reminder to them to recognize and acknowledge the importance of the working class in our lives.
“On this day I salute the members of the labour class, who despite hardships work day in and day out to build our world. We are indebted to them and owe them our support, cooperation and respect,” Khandu added.
