A team of All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) led by its president Toko Takam and General Secretary Tukbom Ligu today called on Education Minister, Er. Taba Tedir to discuss on the 6 majors points representation they had submitted earlier to Chief Minister on May 25.
They apprised him of the scenario of education in Nyishi inhabited areas and urged the Minister to appoint principals, headmasters and subject teachers in various schools for the betterment of the students’ welfare.
They also alleged that random up-gradation of Govt schools on Political will without the reason technical sanctioned is the main reason for major breakdown of quality of education system in Nyishi inhabited districts/areas. The union further demanded for regularization of upgraded Govt Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools sicne 2009 in Nyishi inhabited areas.
They also demanded for immediate establishment of Agri-Horti College at Nyishi inhabited districts/ areas.
They also appraised the Minister to take strong and necessary action against the un-parallel fee structure in various government schools and many unregistered private schools in the state.
