Arunachal: Tem Taying Tarh, Popularly known as Guruji passes away

Tem Taying Tarh, Popularly known as ‘Guruji’ passed away this afternoons here. He was around 80 year, survived by his three wives and 7 sons and 3 daughter and 30 grandchildren.
After schooling from Baptist Mission School, North Lakhimpur Late Tem Joined Junior Higher Secondary School Ziro and completed Secondary education in 1958. He went for Teachers training from Changlang. after completion of training he was appointed as Assistant Teacher in 1958 and his first posting was in Raga-Tamin area in Inter Village Schoo. He continues his service till 1973 , after that he tendered his volunteer retirement and started taking part in social activities.
During his short service he was posted in Papum Pare, Raga, and Dirang. He was very active and having a broad minded with supportive nature and intermingles with all the people nearby his locality and discussed and work for the development of area and state at large.
He was the first team leader to went to Bharat Darshan send by the NEFA administration during 1962 and led team of 30 people of Arunachal Pradesh selected from different parts of the state. In due course of time all the members of the team are well know and important personality of state. the team meet PM & President and visited several parts of the country for more than sixty days.
He was recommended for Silver medal by former Assam governor BK Nehru on May 7 1973 during the foundation stone laying of Capital Project at Ganga Village, Itanagar and received the award on August 15, 1973 at Naharlagun for his outstanding contribution in establishment of Capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Since then he was popularly known as ‘Guruji’
He opened School in Raga-1961, Mowb-II-1965 and other places of state and was a dedicated person who wanted that education is a weapon of development. He also take part in 1st Nyokum celebration at Doimukh in 1964 wherein Late Mallo Taring, Late Yowa Takar, Late Tadar Tang and others also took part.
He served as City Congress Committee President during 1978 and unsuccessfully contested Assembly election as Independent Candidate from undivided Sagalee-Doimukkh-Itanagar Constituency
Condoling the demise of Guruji, local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary (UD, TP, PWD & ULB) Techi Kaso said that Late Guruji was one of the Pioneer in establishment of the state capital. He was a fine gentleman with good behaviour and polite nature. He served as Teachers and during his tenure as Teacher he was instrumental for the development of Itanagar. He prayed for eternal peace of departed soul to rest in peace.
Tarh Welfare Society (TWS) in condolence message said that he was the first teacher amongst Nyishi appointed in the year 1958 .He was the torch bearer of the clan and supported for the cause of the society in his life time.
His contribution towards the state and the society cannot be forgotten..
The society in paying homage to this great legendary figure express our deepest grief and pray to almighty to shower abundant strength to his family members to bear his absence and may his departed soul reach heavenly abode n live eternally.
Apang condole the death of Late Guruji
Former Chief Minister Gegong Apang also paid a visit to the resident of Late Guruji at a Sector, Naharlagun and paid his floral tribute to the departed soul to rest in peace. In a condolence message Apang said he was frontline leader and a social worker of state and his absence will created would not be filled soon. He said that he was a good teacher among a good farmer and guide the people of the area and did his yeoman service to the people of capital complex.
