Govt Appeal MVAC to call off proposed 12 Hrs Bandh

Government of Arunachal Pradesh today appeal the Mere Vichar Andolan Committee (MVAC) to call off proposed 12 hours bandh call on September 25 in the greater interest of the people of state in general and capital complex in particular.

Addressing the media person at Media centre at Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat today Parliamentary Secretary  (Home & Education ) Pani Taram said that any bandh call have never brought benefit to any people rather it create lots of difficulties and trouble to all concern during the bandh period. Supporting the district administration in its declaration of bandh call as illegal Taram said that MVAC proposed bandh call may be motivated politically self motivated as family members of Late Kalikho Pul have in a press conference have already disassociated from the movement spearheaded by MVAC yesterday Taram said.

Saying the Late Kalikho Pul as leader of peace and development during his Chief Ministership he himself motivated for all round development and wanted peace which is appreciated by all and during any bandh call he himself moved out defying bandh and wanted that bandh call never come up in any way which affect day to day activities of normal people who have no interest in such bandh call. On issue of demand of investigation Taram said that the government have already imitated and forwarded the case to central government for enquiry and investigation thereof through CBI/NIA and we should wait for the action initiated.

Taram said that the 12 hours bandh call is nothing but to disturb the activities of the government, all government officers/officials should irrespective of affiliation should come to their office and carry out their normal duty, All government activities will function normally, while transport and government vehicles will run and do their work normally like other days. All petrol pump, educational institution and business establishment including shops, banks, School shall open unlike other days and district administration and state government will provide full  proof security to its citizens. Disciplinary action will be initated against those government servant who found to be supporting the bandh call.

Taram further said that 10 company of para-military forces have been arranged to provide security and nothing to worry and appeal all citizens to defy the said proposed 12 hours bandh call and carry out their normal activities without fear.

DC Capital complex Prince Dhawan said that district administration have made elaborate arrangement for defying the said bandh and no one will be allow to disturb the peace and tranquillity of the capital complex. Magistrate have been deployed and they will take all precautionary measured. Itanagar Market Welfare Association and Naharlagun Bazar Welfare Committee have been asked to remain open their market and requested all citizens to open their business establishment during the bandh call and he will appeal all such organisation not to call bandh in the interest of common people. Notice for declaring bandh call illegal was to give information to the common citizens about the supreme court directive in this regard which should be strictly implemented.

SP City Sagar Singh Singh Kalsi while said that elaborate security arrangement have been made, a part of capital police, CRPF/ITBP and para-military forces will be deployed in all location of the capital complex right from Chimpu to Banderdewa. No one will be allowed to take law in their own hand. He however appeal the bandh caller not to create problems and hurdles for common citizens or strict action will be initiated under various law
