Itanagar: Capital Police recovered stolen vehicle
The vehicle was recovered within 6 hours from Lakhimpur in abandoned condition in Civil Hospital Complex,

In a record time of six hours of theft, Capital police on Monday tracked and recovered a stolen vehicle from Lakhimpur, Assam with the help of GPS tracking system.
A complaint of one Bolero Camper vehicle being stolen from H Sector Itanagar on November 30 night was filed at Itanagar police station, said Capital SP Tumme Amo.
Accordingly a team comprising of SI N Nishant (IO), CT P Deori and CT H Lamra swung into action and their investigation revealed that the GPS system fitted in the stolen vehicle was working following which the team tracked the signal.
The vehicle was recovered within 6 hours from Lakhimpur in abandoned condition in Civil Hospital Complex, North Lakhimpur with the help of Lakhimpur Police, added Amo.
Meanwhile SP Amo, while lauding the prompt action taken by OC Inspr Minli Geyi under the guidance of SDPO T Sikom and police team, suggested public that they should install GPS system in their vehicles.
