Itanagar: 3 Mobile snatcher apprehended
Police also recovered 7 mobile sets, 5 US Dollar notes, one 10 Nepalese rupee note and cash amounting to Rs. 2500 from there possession.

Capital Police apprehended Mobile snatcher on Tuesday in connection with several mobiles phones snatching cases in Capital Complex.
Police also recovered 7 mobile sets, five scissors, one black tape role, one LED light, one power bang, 5 US Dollar notes, one 10 Nepalese rupee note and cash amounting to Rs. 2500 from there possession.
Capital SP Tumme Amo, while addressing to the reporters, informed that the following persons operate in different junctures of Capital Complex and engage in snatching of mobile phones from the people as well as stealing from others’ houses.
“ Three person apprehended in connection of an FIR lodged by one retired Deputy Director of Science and Technology stating that his mobile was snatched along with cash amounting to Rs. 19500 at Chanda Nagar/Vivek Vihar on 18 June last at 8 pm evening. We registered the case and on the basic of IMEI no of the mobile, we zeroed it down to one person,” said Amo.

“The police learned that the person had bought the mobile through OLX from someone else, so the IO and his team laid a trap and nabbed the main accused,” added the SP.
He further informed that similarly they have arrested main accused many times after nabbing the suspects who stated that they have bought the stolen items through online.
Meanwhile, Amo also appealed to the public to be vigilant and alert of such defaulters and take necessary measures for their safety.
