Dy CM Chowna Mein cautioned TK Engineering, Expedite four-laning work of NH-415 or face action-

While taking cognizance of no visible construction activities of the on-going four-laning works of National Highway – 415 from Itanagar to Banderdewa in the last few days, Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein have hurriedly convened a meeting of the State Highway Officials and M/s T K Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd. in his official residence here today.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the progress of the work and asked the M/s T K Engineering Consortium to expedite the works. He said that we have waited enough due to the long rainy seasons but said, “it is high time that the four-laning works of NH-415 from Banderdewa to Pappu Nallah should be fast-tracked.”
He stated that since we have very limited working period and already entering into the middle of the dry season, there is no time to be wasted. He cautioned that if no satisfactory works are visible in the next few days, no option will be left with the Department but to initiate appropriate action against the firm.
Feeling the pulse of the people, he said, “it is painful to see the road conditions that pass through the middle of the twin capitals of the State. I can feel the pain of the commuters especially of the patients and pregnant women who have to commute through this road in emergency”. He asked the M/s T K Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd. to complete the four-laning of road from Itanagar to Pappu-Nallah (Phase-I) by March 2019 as assured by them earlier.
Chief Engineer (Highway), Er T Basar, Executive Engineer (Highway), Nani Tath and representatives of M/s T K Engineering Consortium Pvt Ltd. attended the meeting.
