Civil Service Officers should devote themselves to their responsibilities – Pul

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul appealed to the Civil Service Officers of the State to devote themselves to the responsibilities and opportunities that they have committed towards the progress and development of the state.  He was addressing to the top Civil Service Officers of the state on the 10th Civil Service Day at Banquet Hall today,

As per as development is concerned, state is in a transition point, said the Chief Minister.  He called upon them to introspect, rededicate themselves by chalking out future strategies to deal with the challenges being posed by the changing times on this particular day.

He appealed them to maintain utmost impartiality and to carry out their functions in the highest traditions of objectivity and neutrality. He asked them to ensure incorruptibility of administration and also to maintain highest standards of dignity.

Terming that with the growing awareness of the people, their aspirations and expectations from the govt has also become more definite and abstract. He said, “We can no longer only talk of development in abstract terms of a better life or of a better living standard, but we need to redefine ourselves and deliver on these parameters on this momentous day”.

He further called upon them to carry forward their responsibility with a mission by maintaining the dignity and the integrity of the services.

Chief Minister announced to give best practices reward to officers, units or departments from the next Civil Service Day onwards. He asked the Department of Administrative Reforms to document all best practices and example of good works carried out by the officers, units or departments.
