Arunachal : Apex Bank issues PoS machines among traders

“The Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank should lead in issuing of PoS machines amongst the traders of Capital Complex for a successful implementation of cashless initiatives of the state govt.” opined Prince Dhawan, IAS DC Capital Complex cum Secy IT who was speaking as the Chief Guest of a POS machine launching programme of the Bank here at Naharlagun Women Branch.
While congratulating Apex Bank He encouraged the management of the Apex Bank for taking such initiatives of providing such devices for better augmentation of cashless digital services for which the district administration will encouraged traders to opt the machine from Apex Bank thereby by announcing incentives such as relieve in monthly garbage collection charges, prompt issue and renewal of Trading Licenses etc.He also assured the bank to provide all possible help from District Administration in effective recovery of Bank Loans pending under his jurisdiction. Giving much relief to the bankers, he said that now onwards the PA Holders can not avail bank loans but can receive loan in favour of the owner of the Licensee / Farm.
Habung Lampung, APCS, Administrator of the Bank said that the Apex Bank used to be very respectable lone financial Institution of the state. He believe that with certain target and positive approach bank can regain its lost glory. Accordingly, he has set out some target to its Branch Managers in different parameters with a special focus on recovery and deposits. He said that Apex Bank is providing Banking services to the remote places where other banks hardly reach out. Financial Inclusion is not fully covered in the state as other banks matter profit only where as our bank’s motto is to carry out govt vision. Apex Bank is now CBS enabled and providing services at par other banks. The Banks Mobile ATM Van attracts good public response, he said.
Capital SP, Sagar Singh Kalsi also spoke on the occasion and request the bank to keep strict vigil on the security scenario in and around the banking premises.He suggested to install CC TV Camera beside deploying banks own Security guards for safety.
Earlier T Thongdok, MD, Apex Bank gave a brief history on functioning of Apex bank and said that the bank is a rural bank and provides KCC , DDU Bunkar Yozana besides implementing all govt sponsored schemes. Bank is live on NACH and DBT enabled as such its customers can now receive the subsidy of cooking gas, food subsidy, old age pension, student stipend etc., and ATM card is being issued for PMJDY account holders. He also opined that bank is implementing GOI Social Security Schemes like PMJDY, PMJJBY, APY, PMSBY etc. Bank is also implementing State Govt. flagship programme in Tourist, Agri., AH&Vety., etc. The bank is planning to disburse loan for setting up a Diary Farm under Coop Sector to meet up the demand of Milk in capital complex for which he sought cooperation from the District Administration.
R D Thongon, Joit RCS lauded the bank officials for improvement its performances in providing digital services.The addition of POS machine in its services will improve the cashless transaction amd simplifies the work and saves time. He appealed the traders who are opting the device to utilize and take full benefit.He advised the management to isuue POS machines to all the branches.While acknowledging Banks outreach in remote areas, he advised to pursue the recovery of the bank in time bound manner.He thanked District Administration for their prompt cooperation in recovery matter of the bank and requested to continue. He appealed all staff of the bank to cooperate with the management of the bank to bring back its lost glory.
In the launching programme all together 4 nos of POS machines were isuued to 1.M/s N P Enterprises, Naharlagun,2. Jenier Weaver Coop Societies, Naharlagun, 3. Namlojs Agrovet Pvt Ltd, Naharlagun and 4.Shantanu Enterprises, Daporijo. The programme was attended by Departmental officers, Bank staffs, Traders and general public.
