GHSS, Daporijo Upper Subansiri wins 7th Subroto Mukerjee Cup Football Tournament 2018, held at SLSA Football Ground, Chimpu.

The closing ceremony of the 7th Boys Under 17 Years State Level Subroto Mukerjee Cup Football Tournament 2018 was held with final match played between GHSS, Sille, East Siang and GHSS, Daporijo Upper Subansiri at SLSA Football Ground, Chimpu
The 1st goal was scored by Kodak Bogbi at 17th minute and 2nd goal was scored by Tajo Yingme at 27th minute in the first half for Upper Subansiri Team.
On the contrary Porein Doley scored 1 goal at 50th minute and David Paith scored another 1 goal at 57th minute in the 2nd half for East Siang Team that equalized the match as draw by 2-2.
Both the teams were given 5 minutes x 2 of extra time but none of the team could score any goal. Due to which penalty shootout where 5 shots each were given to both the team and both team again scored 3 goals each.
Then at last 1 shot each to both the team were given where East Siang team failed to score and the Upper Subansiri team scored 1 goal at last and ended the match with 4-3 score in favour of GHSS, Daporijo, Upper Subansiri District.
Later during the presentation hour, the highest scorer of the Tournament was given Kulin Roji of Upper Subansiri, Best Goal Keeper of the Tournament was given to Riten Bori of East Siang, Best Player of the Tournament was given to Tajo Yingm and the Best Discipline Team was given to GHSS, Kharsang of Changlang District.
Now, the GHSS, Daporijo representing Upper Subansiri District, who is the Champion of the 7th Boys Under 17 Years State Level Subroto Mukerjee Cup Football Tournament 2018 will represent the State in the International Subroto Cup which is scheduled to be held on 25th October at Delhi.
It is worth mentioning that it is the second time the team from Upper Subansiri District is going to represent the State in the International Subroto Cup.
The closing ceremony was attended and witnesses by Gania Leij, Director of Secondary Education as Chief Guest, Marken Kadu, Jt. Director of Secondary Education as Guest of Honour and Kipa Kechak, Arunachal Teachers Association as Special Guest. The other guests are Senko Yomgam, Finance and Accounts Officer, Directorate of Secondary Education and Tomi Doke Lendo, Deputy Director of Secondary Education as School Sports Promoters were also attended and witnesses the final match. S. Ronrang, Deputy Director of Secondary Education, Youth and Service Branch was also present in the final match.
