Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy 2026 : Papumpare, Siang, Keyi Panyor and Lower Siang Enter Football Semis
Football semifinal line-ups were finalized while the volleyball league stage concluded on the seventh day of the 9th State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy in Aalo.

AALO– The seventh day of the 9th State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (HDMT) 2026 witnessed intense sporting action in Aalo, West Siang district, as football quarterfinals concluded and the volleyball league stage came to an end across multiple venues.
Matches were held at Aalo Football Ground, Pakkam Ground, ITBP Ground, APPBN Ground and Siyom Army Ground, drawing enthusiastic participation from athletes and spectators.
In the Boys’ Football Quarter Finals, Keyi Panyor secured a 2–0 victory over Upper Siang to advance into the semifinals. Siang also registered a 2–0 win against Longding.
Papumpare entered the semifinals after defeating Capital Complex 5–3 in a penalty shootout following a tightly contested draw during regulation time. Lower Siang similarly edged past Upper Subansiri 5–4 through penalties after both teams remained level at full time.
In the Girls’ Football Quarter Finals, Shi Yomi defeated Upper Subansiri 3–0, while Namsai narrowly overcame Longding 1–0. Capital Complex recorded a 3–0 victory against hosts West Siang, and East Kameng defeated Tawang 1–0 to progress further in the tournament.

The Boys’ Football Semi Finals are scheduled to take place on May 23 at the Main Ground in Aalo. Papumpare will face Siang at 1:00 PM, followed by the second semifinal between Keyi Panyor and Lower Siang at 2:45 PM.
The Girls’ Football Semi Finals will be held on May 24 at Pakkam Ground, where Namsai will take on Capital Complex at 1:30 PM, while Shi Yomi will face East Kameng at 3:00 PM.
Meanwhile, the Volleyball League Stage matches concluded successfully at Siyom Army Ground.

In Boys’ Volleyball, Papumpare defeated Tirap 2–0, East Siang overcame Tawang 2–1, Anjaw defeated Lower Subansiri 2–0, and East Kameng secured a 2–0 win against Shi Yomi.
However, the scheduled fixtures between Namsai and Pakke Kessang, as well as Bichom and Itanagar Capital, could not be conducted after the teams reportedly failed to report within the stipulated time, in accordance with tournament regulations.

In Girls’ Volleyball, Lohit defeated Upper Siang 2–0, Keyi Panyor overcame Shi Yomi 2–0, and Leparada registered a 2–0 win against Upper Subansiri. Tirap defeated Dibang Valley 2–0, while East Kameng secured another 2–0 victory against Anjaw.
The scheduled girls’ volleyball fixture between Namsai and Pakke Kessang also could not be conducted due to non-reporting by both teams.
The tournament continues to witness strong public support and participation as teams across Arunachal Pradesh compete for top honours in one of the state’s major sporting events.
