Changlang district police and 9 Assam Rifle on Sunday launched joint operation in jungles of Yukhi area of Saching pahar in the district and destroyed well sited camp of ultras.
Changlang SP In-charge Surendra Choudhary while talking to Arunachal2 inform that, “Changlang police and 9 Assam Rifles launched a joint operation in jungles of Yukhi area ( Saching pahar ) on specific input of presence of NSCN(R) Cadres in a camp on June 9.
A well sited camp was found deep inside jungles of Yukhi with 8-9 huts which can accommodate atleast 30-35 cadres.
Approximately 50 meter long dug out trench & bunkers were found along approach from village Old Yukhi. The construction would have taken atleast 1-2 months time to build the hide out.
The operation was jointly supervised and monitored by SP and Commanding Officer 9 AR col Surendra Kumar .
However, not a single UG arrested, nor the arms recovered, or not a single such items found which proved that UGS were using this hideout.
