Arunachal: 19 shops gutted in Tezu Fire
In a major fire that broke out at Baazar Area in Tezu town on Sunday night, around 19 shops were totally gutted.

Around 19 (Nineteen) shops including rent house were completely burnt down in a massive fire inferno that broke out at 12 midnight here last night at the heart of Bazaar area adjacent to Shivam Hotel. Cyber, Mobiles, TV, Refrigerators, Glossary, Wholesale Potatoes shops were totally gutted to ashes.
“Nothing left, we lost everything, roofless and now in the footpath, misfortunate hit us badly. We are speechless and can’t say anything how to compensate or overcome these loses”, weeps a lady shopkeepers one of the victims. Further the victims also add that the explosion of two LPG cylinders aggravated the scenario.
At the site some of the shopkeepers allege that fire broke out from adjacent to the Hotel’s OB Type (Thatched hunt). One Fire Brigade came that too not with adequate water after half an hour the water was exhausted, again when it comes everything were brought to rubbles”, claims the victim.
When contacted over Telephone, B Roy OC Fire Service APP informs that he engaged Fire Brigades called from Roing, Namsai to douse out the blaze else, it could engulfed rest of shops, he says.
Meanwhile, SDO K karmakar and D Norbu DDMO also rushed to the site and supervise the fire brigades to extinguish the inferno. Fortunately there was no lost of any life. Inquiry and assessment of the lost is going on. Whatever possible way we will try to compensate from the government, ensues the DDMO.
