Arunachal: Himalayan University conducted on ‘Soft Skill Development Program’
A total of 28 students of BSc (Agriculture) participated in the training.
ITANAGAR– Himalayan University (HU), Department of Agriculture in collaboration with Unnati Foundation (NGO) conducted One month training on “Soft Skill Development Program (Unxt Program)” from 31.10.2023 to 06-12-2023 for BSc (Agriculture) final year students. The training program was inaugurated on 31.10. 2023 by Dr Raja Husain, Head, Department of Agriculture.
The training was given by Ms. Bompi Laye, trainer, Unnati Foundation. During the training program, the students learned spoken English, Life Skills, and values. It was taught to students that how a student can improve their communication skills, personality development, performing their responsibility and gratitude nature in society in day-to-day life? Ms. Bompi also focused on the importance of E-news learning, visual comprehension, and word-based learning etc.

The students also learned about the power of positive attitude, listening skills, gender equality, sensitivity, time & money management. How can students have assertiveness, language etiquette, mannerism, and public speaking?
Finally, Ms. Bompi emphasized on vocational enhancement and career counselling, how students can face the interview to get the job in future. Lastly the valedictory ceremony was conducted on 06-12-2023.

During the closing ceremony, Dr Raja Husain. HoD Agriculture suggested to students to implement the learned skills in future. Dr Husain emphasized on the student’s career. How students can get the job in future and what type of efforts must be made by students to make their career. Dr Husain thanked the Unnati Foundation for conducting the valuable training.
A total of 28 students of BSc (Agriculture) participated in the training. Dr. Kasinam Doruk, (RAWE) Coordinator, BSc Ag. Final year) spoke about the applications of learned activities for future use. Dr Doruk represented a vote of thanks to the trainer, students, and all dignitaries. The entire session was very informative and helpful for students.
