Arunachal: 2 killed, 8 injured in Tata Sumo accident at Kimi

2 killed and 8 person injured when a Seppa-Tezpur bound passenger Tata sumo meet with an accident near Kimi in West Kameng dist of  Arunachal Pradesh.  .

In a tragic road accident near Kimi in West Kameng district two passenger died, while 8 sustain injuries of which few are grievously.

West Kameng district Superintended of Police Raja Bantia inform that the ill fated Tata Sumo bearing registration NO- AS 12 C 8235 which ferry passenger from Tazpur to Seppa and vice versa meet with a tragic road accident near  a Bailey bridge in Kimi under Thrizino circle of the district at around 11.30 this morning. the sumo while negotiating a u turning fell on the downside hill road.

As per information there was 10 passenger on board including the driver. 1 person died on spot while 1 succumbed to her injuries and died at Bhalukpong. Rest 8 passengers  sustained injuries of few are grievously. All injured person were first send to Bhalukpong PHC later evacuated to Tezpur in Assam.

The deceased died on spot have been identified as Sonam Tshering, 44 years Male while the person died on way to Bhalukpong have been identified as Pema Yangzom, 40 years female.

After conducting all legal formalities including post mortem the body of the decease will be handed over to the relatives and family members. A case have been registered at Thrizino Police station and investigation is launched. SP said.

The cause of the accident could not be known as the driver of the ill fated vehicle is also injured and in medical care. SP added.
