Itanagar: Mama Natung flagged of expedition team
Supported by the State government, the team including 4 technical mountaineers and one extreme technical mountaineer, informed that ” It is a 45 days expedition while it will take 10 days to reach the base camp from Itanagar”.

An expedition team of 31 members, who will explore Mt. Khyarisatam in East Kameng district, was flagged off on Monday here at city hotel by Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mama Natung in the presence of hosts of legislators of East Kameng and Director of Youth Affairs, D. K. Dinglow.
Supported by the State government, the team including 4 technical mountaineers and one extreme technical mountaineer, informed that ” It is a 45 days expedition while it will take 10 days to reach the base camp from Itanagar”.
The materials and equipment for the expedition are sponsored by Mama Natung and the other lawmakers of the district. During the flag-off ceremony, the materials and equipment were also demonstrated by the team.
Wishing the best for the team, Mama Natung said exploring the unexplored mountain will attract more tourists as well as mountaineers and added that the state has a lot of mountains which can be a tourist hotspot.
Mara also said that there are many mountains in the state to be explored yet and urged upon the enthusiasts to focus also on exploring mountains of the state as they aspire for climbing other famous peaks and mountains.
