Arunachal: State’s lone ISBT full of mud
Due to the poor drainage system and no proper outlet system, the entrance of the ISBT building is being flooded with water and mudslide.
Naharlagun
The lone Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) Naharlagun is still flooded with water and mudslide and it is still a daily struggle for anyone to navigate their way in the premise.
Due to the poor drainage system and no proper outlet system, the entrance of the ISBT building is being flooded with water and mudslide giving the passengers and staffs horrid time to enter in the building.
It was reported that the authority has pressed man and machinery to clear the silt and mud deposit. Despite reported efforts from the authority, the place is no like for any terminals but it rather look like an abandon place.
Not only the locals but also the passengers coming from outside the state have to encounter the struggle in navigating the way in and out from the terminal building.
One staff on account of anonymity alleged that despite inspection from ministers and higher authorities nothing concrete has been done to bring a better solution.
“It is a daily struggle for us as well, but we cannot do anything more. When we tried to avert the water flow, but the local residents are affected. And when we do not avert, the place will be flooded with water and mud,” added the staff.
“It is a daily sight every rainy days and a better solution should be adopted for the good of everyone. And to safe the building and vehicles from getting spoilt by the rainwater and mud deposit,” the staff added.
