Dy CM Chowna Mein vows to work for overall development of Wakro circle

The 5th edition of ‘SARKAR AAPKE DWAR’ (Government at your doorstep) benefited thousand today held at Govt. Secondary School Medo under Wakro circle of Lohit district with great jubilation and fanfare in an enthusiastic initiative of Wakro administration.  Dy CM Chowna Mein unveiled the event and inspected each and every stalls of the department, NGO and Self Help Groups.

“The ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ (Government at your doorstep) programme is an initiative of the state government, which was passed in the 2018-19 budget, directing every deputy commissioner to conduct Jan-sunwais in their respective districts to resolve public grievances on the spot which is an innovation of Pema Khandu Chief Minister GoAP.

“Since taking over an onus of overall development of Chowkham – Wakro Constituency, I have been closely discussing, holding meeting and personally visiting this area to serve the public. Micro Irrigation projects (MIP), Link Road, Flood Control, Drinking Water Supply, Education are my top priority to sort it out phase wise”, entrusts the Dy CM.

He also ensured proper safety and security of the Kathan and its adjoining villages which he said are leaping back to normalcy following active initiative of DC, SP Lohit and CO Madras Regiment Chowkham.

The Dy CM also announced Mega Drinking Water project in a tune of Rs 19 crores to fetch potable water under Wakro circle. While committing to celebrate ensuing Parsuram Kund Mela, Dy CM promised to manage adequate funds for better facelift of the Kund from his MLALAD fund and ensured recurring fund every year under the state budget for the Kund in order to ensure smooth holy dip of the pilgrims.

He also distributed LED bulb under Ujala scheme to beneficiaries, ePDS ration cards, LPG Gas stop, Kits under RKVJ and other items during the event.

Highlighting main objective SAD, Prince Dhawan (IAS) DC said that public is provided every services and facilities available in the office at the doorstep.  He also extended gratitude to the Dy CM for resolving every issues of the circle and helping him to percolate development schemes smoothly.

“It is necessary during SAD that every department work out a proper plan to create awareness regarding important schemes and services concerning to all departments”, the DC hopes.

Meanwhile, the services provided during the programme are Aadhaar enrollment, e-ILP, Schedule Tribe certificates, Residence certificates, Income certificate, Driving licenses, distribution of items under the Ujala scheme, new account opening and other government schemes, etc. Many a times, government schemes, including centrally & state sponsored schemes remain unknown to the beneficiaries, for whom they are intended.
