Power outages due to rainstorm and Lohit, Tezu are in dark since yesterday .

Rainstorm together with violent wind left a trail of devastation in both Low Tension Line and (LTL) and High Tension Lines (HTL) on 15th March evening in Lohit bringing the district under complete dark.
Over fifty (50) different locations in the township, adjoining villages were seriously bore the brunt of the cause. Simultaneously, Wakro and Sunpura circle equally experienced the impact of the storm that has brought the power scenario completely standstill.
“It will take minimum week to restore the entire structure, broken trees and its branches on the poles and the wires has damaged the electrical poles and collapsed the entire transmission system.
Even the main 132 KV Grid Line was badly damaged in between Alo in West Siang and Pasighat in East Siang districts”, informs the power officials.
The cyclone has not only smash up the power scenario but also blockaded roads at various pocket of the district. Uprooting of bamboos, damage of standing crops and houses were also reported.
Meanwhile, it needs to be noted that the blackout in the district has mostly affected the ongoing CBSE and other examinations.
