Arunachal: Awareness for Survekshan Gramin 2018 in Sagalee and Mengio Block

Every schemes of government made of general public can only be success if there is mass participation, said Sagalee PHED Executive Engineer Teli Datto Camdir.
Camdir was addressing series of awareness camp on health and hygiene in view of swachh Survekshan Gramin 2018 (SSG) to be launched by government of India from August while Information Education Communication ( IEC ) Programme in Arunachal Pradesh have been launched by Chief Minister on July 26.
He said that we are also making awareness among the rural masses and the sanitation workers are moving from door to door for mass awareness on sanitation and cleanness. The campaign shall continue until all the villages, school and Self help groups are properly make awareness.
Papum Pare district consultant Management Information System ( MIS ) PHED Liyum Basar said that SSG is being done across the country and in Papum Pare district two blocks to be cover.
There are 164 villages in Sagalee Block while 45 villages in Mengio Block, a total of 206 villages will be covered the SSG and the campaign on Information Education communication (IEC) Programme is being launched.
Today is the second day of the programme in the district and so far we have completed around 5-10 villages. Several team have been constituted and the team are covering various parts of two block and would be completed within a week. The main motto of the campaign to make aware on the Individual Household latrine (IHHL), sanitation, hygiene and good health.
She said every campaign and scheme would be successful if it change the mindset of the locals gramin who use to stay in villages with a behaviour change and if they are healthy and disease free the villagers will remain prosperity and can maintain a good health.
Central team will visit these villages and give ranking to the villages based on the IHHL. Awareness camping of the state government launched in this regard is most effective for the rural masses to know about cleanness and sanitation campaign.
She informed that so far 3797 IHHL have been constructed in Sagalee and Mengio block of the district.
Former ASM Tan Chicky among other senior member of the village and Executive members of SHG and local leader also spoke on the occasion.
The team also take part in sanitation camping at Government Higher Secondary School Sagalee, church at Pech, Govt Middle School Khamlee and other places.
