Arunachal: Two arrested in Wakro bank loot, and Girl trafficking case, money recovered & girl rescued

Wakro/ Gohpur
Wakro– A customer visit the bank damaged the glass panes of the cash counter with a machete, and took away Rs 3,51,300 from the drawer of the cashier before fleeing from the bank. the incident took place on Oct,22 in Wakro branch of State Bank Of India.
Soon after news flashed that a customer had looted cash from SBI, the police swung into action and managed to apprehend the culprit within few minutes
Before he was apprehended, the accused attacked the advancing police team with his machete, but the team managed to snatch his weapon and overpowered him. The police recovered Rs 3,50,000 and took the accused in custody.
Gohpur ( Assam ) – In another incident Gahigaon police performed an outstanding role and rescued a girl who was ‘trafficked’ by her own boyfriend.
The accused identified as Anuwar Hussain hails from Kuhiyabari gaon and that he was in a love relationship with the victim for the past 3 months. He is a resident of Dofolagarh Tea Estate.
As per the police the accused Anuwar Hussain on October 15 had eloped with the girl and kept her at his relative’s place. She was later trafficked to Balijan, Arunachal Pradesh after they spent a night in Harmati, Lakhimpur.
The girl, after discovering the matter, tactfully made a call to her family, following which an FIR was filed by the girl’s family.
Based on the FIR, the police started an investigation and launched a search operation and successfully traced the girl.
At last Police rescued the girl and arrested Anuwar Hussain from Balijaan and sent him to judicial custody.
Continuing their investigation, the police have accumulated further details of one Saddam Ali’s involvement in the case. Ali is reported to be the mastermind behind the trafficking who is presently absconding.
