Arunachal: Nyishi Elite Society felicitate Students, Officers and professional achievers
19th Annual Academic Excellence Awards and Professional Achievers-2023 of NES held at Heritage and Research Centre, Richi Jullang, Itanagar.
ITANAGAR- The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) on Monday, 23rd October, 2023 felicitated 18 meritorious students of the Nyishi community, 57 (Fifty-Seven) officers and 3 (three) distinguished professional achievers during its 19th Annual Academic Excellence Awards and Professional Achievers-2023 here at NES Heritage and Research Centre, Richi Jullang, Itanagar.
The students felicitated included top three toppers of those who scored the highest percentage in their board examinations. A total of 18 students have been awarded in Academic Excellence for top three toppers each in Class X and XII (Arts, Science and Commerce).
The students who were felicitated for toppers in Class-X were Miss Sania Blange (95.60%), Miss Taring Yajer (95.20%), Miss Phassang Asha (93%).
While Miss Tamchi Nyakum (92.80%), Nikam Loffa and Miss Migom Kina (92.60%), Miss Bengia Yemin (91.80%) were felicitated as the first, second and third toppers respectively in Class-XII Humanities.
In the Commerce stream, Miss Tadar Jeinam (95.80%), Miss Zenith Notung (90 %) and Miss Yangfo Yalar (88 %) were felicitated as the first, second and third toppers while the Science stream saw Miss Tam Sai (88.60%), Tarh Rinium (87.40%) and Nabam Ani (87.00%) were felicitated.
A total of 6 (Six) students who cracked the prestigious Joint Entrance Examination (Advance) for admission into IIT courses conducted by IIT and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission into MBBS course conducted by National Testing Agency for the year 2022-23 were also felicitated with certificates and scholarship. These are Mr. Tarh Haniya, Mr. Chukhu Nyia Loma and Mr. Neelam Doin in JEE (advanced) and Mr. Langha Lawrence, Miss Tai Chumnya and Miss Gichik Mumpa and in NEET (Medical.
A total of 57 awardees received for being promoted or recruited in various positions in the Government services.
On the occasion, Felicitation of honour were conferred to 3 (three) distinguish persons for their professional achievement as well as their social contributions. Pige Ligu for being inducted into the AGMUT cadre of IAS by the UPSC, Tapu Gapak, IFS (Retd.) and Former President, NES and Bengia Tabb, Manager, SBI (Retd.) and former President, NES were felicitated with honour which includes citation, Shawl and traditional antique.
Minister (Home) Bamang Felix while lauding the efforts of NES, has said that today’s event signifies the recognition given to the past, present and the future. He also lauded the performance of girls’ child and make serious appeal to the community to ponder over the performance of the boys.
Addressing the students and the professional awardees, NES president Prof. Tana Showren expressed happiness over the academic performance of the students, especially girls and advised them to maintain the same spirit so as to become the torch bearers of the society. At the same time, he exudes hope that the professional awardees will exhibit best work ethics and carry on the dignity and reputation of the community in all walks of life.
