Arunachal: Kiren Rijiju takes part in Shramdaan held at Naharlagun Railway Station

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju took part in “Shramdaan” at Railway Station Naharlagun under Swachhata Hi Seva-2018 today on 22nd Sept’2018. He was accompanied by Minister of Land Management, Forest and Environment, Nabam Rebia and Local MLA Techi Kaso.
Addressing the gatherings on the occasion MoS Kiren Rijiju said that ‘we need to change our civic behavior to keep our village, cities and localities clean and healthy to realising our dream of Clean India Campaign’.
He asserted that Arunachal Pradesh is one of most beautiful state of the country and we need to make concerted effort to keep it clean and healthy so that people from outside can enjoy the natural beauty of our state, adding to it he said that it is good to see lots of awareness on cleanliness in Itanagar and Naharlagun areas, however we need to work on ways and means to maintain it in a more better way.
Speaking on importance of cleanliness in Railway stations he said clean India Campaign has brought revolutionary changes in railway stations across the country which will have huge effect on cleanliness of the country as well. He further asked the railway authorities to maintain Naharlagun Railway Station as one of the cleanest Railway Station in the country.
Calling for mass participation of people in cleanliness movement Rijiju said that when it comes to work, no work is big or small, we need to respect for dignity of labour and need to change our attitude and mentality towards the sanitation workers and give equal respect to their work.
Later on the Union minister Kiren Rijiju also flagged off ambulance provided by ONGC under their CSR project for Papum Pare District.
Minister of Land Management, Forest and Environment, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh Nabam Rebia who also address the gatherings called upon the people to carry forward the message Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan in mission mode to maintain clean and healthy environment and to make cleanliness part of one’s life. He asked the people to have civic sense and stop littering the public places and institutions.
Local Legislator Techi Kaso, Chief Engineer PHE &WS Toko Jyoti, Mission Director SBM (Gramin) Sentum Yomcha and DMO Papum Pare Dr(Mrs) Subu Tasso Kampu also spoke on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Dr.Joram Beda,IAS, SP (Capital) M. Harshavardhan, Officers from Railways, PHE &WS, Heads of Departments, admin officers , school children and staffs attended the programme.
