Arunachal: DGP Flags off “RIDE FOR UNITY” Motorcycle Rally of West Kameng Police

The rally “RIDE FOR UNITY” started from Sela Pass and will end at Bhalukpong on 01.11.2019. It will cover the entire length and breadth of West Kameng district.

In the run up to Arunachal Pradesh Police Raising Day, today R.P.Upadhyaya, IPS, DGP of Arunachal Pradesh Police flagged off a 3-days long motorcycle rally organized by West Kameng police from Sela Pass amid great fanfare as part of Raising Day celebrations by West Kameng district police.

The rally started from Sela Pass and will end at Bhalukpong on 01.11.2019. It will cover the entire length and breadth of West Kameng district.

The theme of the rally is “RIDE FOR UNITY” to mark the message of national unity and integrity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel whose birthday falls on 31st October.

The participants of the rally consist of 15 officers and men of West Kameng district police including one lady officer. The rally is being led by Raja Banthia, Superintendent of Police, West Kameng.

This motorcycle rally will halt at Dirang, Kalaktang and Bhalukpong on 30th, 31st and 1st respectively. At each place, West Kameng police has organized several programmes in participation with the local communities.

In Dirang, a volleyball match was organized with local youths and SSB. In Kalaktang, a volleyball match would be played with Kalaktang Youth organization. A visit to local school and interaction with students is also on the cards.

The rally would end in Bhalukpong on 1st November and an interaction programme with the local people is planned.
