Arunachal: 66th All India Cooperative week celebration begins

The 66th All India cooperative week celebration began herewith several programme to mark the occasion a memorable one here at the premises of Cooperative Union office at Polo Colony today.
Inaugurating the week, Registrar of Cooperative Society (RCS) Tai Kayi said that Cooperative union is one of the best movement in the rural India for the upliftment of the rural masses.
Kayi said that earlier days the Cooperative union and cooperative society have played a pioneer role in transforming the activities like public distribution system, production, distribution and selling of products of consumer and earnings for the livelihood.
Several state flagship programmes, central flagship programmes, including providing of loans to the needy rural people are also part of the cooperative union and cooperative society. he also lauded the activities of state run APEX Bank in the public service.
Joint Registrar RD Thungon attended as guest of honour, Arunachal Pradesh state Cooperative Union (APSCU) Chairman Nakap Nalo, Chief Executive Officer P Tayeng, Executive Engineer (Civil) J Borah among other also address the function.
The afternoon session witness technical session attended by executive members and Board of Directors of various cooperative unions of state which was address by resource person from Animal Husbandry & Dairy development, Horticulture, Textile & Handicraft and other.
The session also witness discussion on several scheme which include ‘Make in India’, ‘Swachh bharat abhiyan’, ‘Pradhan mantra jan dhan yojna’, ‘mudtra mission’, ‘digital India’, ‘ skill development scheme’, ‘deen dayal upadhyaya gram jyoti yojna’, pradhan mantra suraksha yojna’, cooperative and government shemes etc.
The week long programme will continue till November 20 and will be celebrated in different parts of state by the officers of Cooperation department and by also various cooperative society and cooperative union leaders which will witness deliberation on new imitative of government through cooperative society and cooperative union.
Highlights of several central and state sponsored flagship schemes in the interest of the general public. seminars, discussion and debates by various stake holders for the promotion of cooperative movement in state and the role of cooperative society in transformation of rural area and its people will be discussed.
