Tezu
The Forest Joint night patrolling team of Tafragam, Tezu and Digaru Forest Range and Beats led by RFO Tafragam-Tezu and Beat officer Digaru seized two tractors along with tractor trailers loaded with khair logs and two suspected persons from Digaru Reserve Forest of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday early morning while logs were being loaded for transportation.
The seized tractors with tools and logs were brought to the Tezu Central Beat Office for further proceedings and inquiry.
Some more persons involved escaped seeing forest team in thick jungle of which only two could be apprehended after good chase.
Earlier in February last, three tractors with trailer and loaded khair woods were seized and kept at Tezu Beat Office after which no tree felling were reported and noted.
Forest range and Beat personnel have been activated for intensive patrolling for effective control. However long porous interstate boundary is the main cause of concern from where unauthorized entry to state without pass is happening and no immediate remedy in hand with forest officials.
