Anjaw- Brainstorming on Sankalp se Siddhi

Kirshi Vigyan Kendra, Anjaw organised one day brainstorming programme on “Strategies, Polices and Practices for Alleviating Rural Poverty Under SANKALP Se SIDDHI and Role of KVKs/CAU/ICAR/Line Departments of Arunachal Pradesh” to generate all possible innovative ideas for alleviating poverty and enhancing the doubling farmers income by 2022.
The programme was conducted under the flagship of “Sankalp Se Siddhi: New India Movement (2017-2022)” by Hon’ble Prime Minister. During this brainstorming programme various issues and agenda were discussed by the faculty members from College of Horticulture & Forestry, Pasighat and Scientists of KVK Anjaw alongwith Heads of various line departments of Anjaw District. Many innovative ideas are documented for future planning of sustainable development of farming and rural communities.
The programme was begin with welcome address and brief information about the brainstorming and their objectives and issues by Dr Manish Kanwat, Sr. Scientist& Head KVK Anjaw.
The programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Incharge Shri B. Towsik, and his presidential remarks and he urge all the participants of brainstorming programme should actively participate and take a pledge for formulating location specific strategies and planning which took them this district on the right path towards sustainable livelihood development. Dr Mukul Kumar Associate Professor PBG and Chairman of programme was also stressed on development of location specific agroforestry model for higher productivity and conservation of biodiversity of the region.
Dr Bhanu Prakash Mishra & Dr M. M Kumawat of CHF has also spoke on the programme and discussed various urgent needs for the welfare of farming community. The Programme was attended by DVO, DIO, FAO, CO as well as representative of all the line departments. Programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Senpon Ngomle SMS Plant Protection, KVK Anjaw.
