The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) held its Central executive meeting at Itanagar on Monday. At the outset Union observed two minutes’ silence for the victims of barbaric killing that included many innocent souls along with Lt. Tirong Aboh sitting MLA of Khonsa West under Tirap District on 21st May 2019 last.
Discussing on the recent incident of terror attack by insurgents at the convoy of the late leader at Tirap. The AAPSU term it as a political murder and the house present in strongest term condemned the cowardice act of merciless killing and has resolved for demanding Fast-track investigation by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a time bound manner so that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are nabbed and the culprits brought before public domain at the earliest.
The house present also deliberated on the precarious law & order condition in TLC region and stated that when a sitting Legislator can be gun down in broad day light with full impunity without any fear for the law of land, it amply reflects the fear and duress under which common people are forced to endure with.
The House present opined that it is high time the State government and Central government led by BJP with absolute Majority this time around demonstrate strong “Political Will” to resolve the turmoil in TLC region once for all.
The incident of unabated killing, ransom demand, extortion, taxing government employees from their hard earned salary by different insurgent group and exerting a parallel system of administration is not new in the TCL region, which every successive government in the State and Centre very well knows but has left the common masses to fetch for themselves in the hand of such non state players.
The recent spree of massacre before the unfortunate incident which took place on 21st May 2019 that of Lt Seliam Wangsa Former ZPM from Longchan Block, Lt Jaley Anna from kheti Village and his companion who is battling for his life in Hospital has crossed every limit of tolerance and has taken a cancerous turn and more unfortunate of all like every time there is no headway in the investigation. The Union demand the Narendra Modi led BJP Government at centre and Pema Khandu led BJP government in the State to immediately evict all the insurgency and secure TLC region.
The Union has also resolved to organise Candle light March in all the district headquarter to condemned the gruesome killing of innocent lives as the first phase of the movement and will call on the State government in a day or two submit a memorandum in the regard.
