IFCSAP Donates ₹3.16 Lakh to Support Flood-Affected Families in East Siang
The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) has contributed ₹3.16 lakh to the East Siang District Administration to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the recent flash floods.
PASIGHAT- The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) has donated ₹3,16,350 to the East Siang District Administration to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the recent flash floods in the district.
The cheque was handed over to Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani, by an IFCSAP delegation led by Olom Perme, Vice President of the Youth Wing, Central Executive Committee (CEC), IFCSAP. The delegation also included Omir Tatin, President of IFCSAP East Siang Unit; Omem Tamuk Gao, President of the Women’s Wing, IFCSAP East Siang Unit; and Taken Payum, General Secretary of the East Siang Unit.

The relief fund was raised through contributions from several IFCSAP units across Arunachal Pradesh. The East Siang Unit contributed ₹25,000, Upper Siang ₹34,850, Dibang Valley ₹51,000, Lohit ₹15,500, Namsai ₹1,20,000, Longding ₹20,000, while the Central IFCSAP contributed ₹50,000, reflecting a collective effort to support flood-affected families.
Speaking on the occasion, IFCSAP representatives expressed solidarity with families affected by the floods and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to extending assistance during times of crisis. They also appreciated the efforts of the East Siang District Administration and all agencies engaged in relief and rehabilitation work.

Receiving the contribution, Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani thanked the organisation for its humanitarian gesture, stating that such community-led initiatives strengthen relief operations and provide meaningful support to families rebuilding their lives after the disaster.
The donation highlights the spirit of compassion, unity and collective responsibility, demonstrating how community organisations can play an important role in supporting disaster relief and rehabilitation efforts in Arunachal Pradesh.
