He also viewed that students’ unions of the state in any parts of the country should provide counseling for newcomers, so as to guide them for a better future.
He also advised students to uphold the identity of the state with pride when they go to other states, and not to indulge in any activities that can tarnish the image of Arunachal Pradesh and North East region.
“We have heard many negative remarks about the way the youths from the North East region are living in other states, therefore it is important for the parents to visit their children once,” he added.

AAPSU President Hawa Bagang also deliberated on the importance of upholding the cultural identity of the state.
He viewed that one Nodal Officer should be appointed to regulate and monitor students studying outside the state. “There is no record of the numbers of Arunachalee students are studying outside and it is difficult to tap and assist them as well,” he added.
He further added that he will try to affiliate all Arunachal students’ unions of different state to All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU).
Geli Kamki, Vice Principal GHSS, Itanagar also spoke on the occasion. He gave a stress that helpline nos should be provided by students’ fraternity in any part of country for the safety of the students.
Arunachal students union of Punjab (ASUP) General Secretary Tana Thomas, Arunachal students union of Karnataka (ASUK) President Ngurang Bapu, Arunachal students union of Himachal Pradesh (ASUHP) President Byabang Tapa, Dehradyun students union President Daniel Tabo, Kolkatta Arunachal students association President Nabam Apang, Arunachal students union of Shillong (ASUS) President Mebom Jilen, Arunachal Chandigarh students union General Secretary cum organizing Chairman Lingdum Kame and others also addressed the gathering.
Hundreds of students were present on the occasion.
