Arunachal: Taekwondo championship with a motto ‘ No to drug yes to sports’
Total 232 participants are taking part out of which 121 are girls.

The 2nd Lt. Ngurang Tazap memorial district level taekwondo championship-2019 kick off here at millennium multipurpose hall today with motto ‘ No to drug yes to sports’.
All total eight teams from various parts of capital complex and Papum Pare district are taking part in two days event. The tournament is being organised by All Papum Pare district Taekwondo Association (APPTA). Total 232 participants are taking part out of which 121 are girls. Total 56 bouts of different category of sub junior, junior, senior, cadets etc will play.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony Arunachal Pradesh Olympics Association (APOA) General Secretary Abraham Kaya Techi said that playing game for maintaining health and secure job reservation is good but playing with dedication, sincerity with enthusiasm will lead you to a new height and you can win as many medals in state, national and even at international level and can bring laurel for state and nation as well and job is secured for you by the state government.
Every game and sports have a rule and discipline and everyone need to follow discipline and play the game with a spirit. He said. Now a days after our Member of parliament to the ministry of Sports & Youth affairs several sports association have become active and several district and state level games are being held where our youths are getting benefit of the provision and facilities. He said.
He directed the authority of Taekwondo association of state to organize the state level competition or else action will be taken. He added.
Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) Vice President Nabam Vivek attending the function as guest of honour said that we need to encourage our children’s to play games and sport right from the childhood so that they become a good player and play national and international games.

Now the time have passed when the parents insist the children only towards study. Now everybody see and witness towards the state level, national and international level tournaments, championship of various games and sports and the players have good reputation and name and fame and bring laurel for his country and his family, community, society and state. So play games apart of education career. He also appeal the players to maintain team spirit and discipline to become a fine gentleman and serve the society.
