Arunachal: PHC inaugurated at Medo

Public Health Centre (PHC) which was long felt demand of the Medo under Wakro circle of Lohit district was officially inaugurated by Chow Tewa Mein MLA as chief guest in a simple ceremony here today in the presence of Karma Leki DC Lohit, H Diyum EAC Wakro, Dr S Nayil DRCHO, former PRI members, officials and public.
Responding to the memorandum submitted, the MLA promises immediate posting of Doctors and other Para medic staffs. He also directed the health authority to ensure water supply, electricity and other pre-requisite amenities for proper functioning of the PHC. The DC also expresses his full cooperation to pursue adequate staffs for the smooth utility of the PHC.
Highlighting Medo fast growing population, Dr S Nayil DRCHO Lohit said that the place by dint of growing tea industries and other agriculture produce required better health services. The inauguration of PHC is good news but need to be made functional immediately, he stresses. H Diyum EAC also drew the attention of MLA on construction of boundary wall to ensure security and safety of land and the building.
Earlier, Sanjoy Ngadong and K Delang Medo submitted memorandum to the MLA for immediate posting Doctors and other paramedic staffs to the PHC.
It needs to be mentioned here that Medo Sub – Centre has been upgraded to PHC by former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul when he was the Health & Family Welfare Minister in Nabum Tuki govt.
