Arunachal: Mein attends inaugural program of Gayatri Shaktipeeth temple at Sunpara

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Sunday attended the inaugural program of Gayatri Shaktipeeth temple at Sunpara with Head of All World Gayatri Pariwar, Maharaj Dr Pranab Pandaya and Minister Agriculture Dr Mohesh Chai.
To the thunderous applause of the gathering, Mein announced to release fund for immediate repair and maintenance of the Sunpura road in the current year. He also assured to provide fund under RIDF next year for construction of 16km road from Sunpura connecting to National Highway 13.
Addressing the large gathering, Mein said that under visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state and Northeast region has witnessed immense development in surface connectivity. He said that with inauguration of bridges with strategic importance in Assam and in eastern Arunachal Pradesh, the road transport has become smoother, boosted the tourism activity and increase industrial investments. The bridges are turning to be a boon for transformation and economic upliftment of the Northeast region, and it is actually Arunachal Pradesh which is in advantageous position after the opening of Dhola-Sadiya and Bogibeel Bridges.
He also reiterated that the state government is committed and focussed towards carrying out developmental activities and welfare of the people.
Exuding happiness on the inauguration, Mein hoped that the temple would be a centre of constructive activities, culture, religion, and foster universal peace, harmony and goodwill in the region.
While lauded the efforts of All World Gayatri Pariwar in disseminating of the tenets of culture, human values and in promoting a proper blend of science and spirituality, Mein assured to provide his personal support for construction of library, old age home and boundary wall in the temple.
Earlier the dignitaries unfurled the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar flag and paid obeisance to deity Maa Gayatri in the temple.
Among those present on the occasion included, MLA Chongkham Chow Tewa Mein, MLA Sadiya (Assam) Bolin Chetia, Commissioner PWD Bilatee Pertin, Deputy Commissioner Lohit Karma Leki, and SP Lohit D.W.Thongon.
A yoga session was also held for the devotees who came from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. In the end a yagna ceremony was held for universal peace and prosperity.
