Arunachal: Katu Yomcha given warm welcome

The Kargu Kardi welfare society (KKWS) given warm welcome to Katu Yomcha who has won silver medal in 65-kg category in both strength lifting & incline bench press (IBP) to secure 2nd position in 6th international strength lifting and IBP competition, currently underway at Bali, Indonesia representing India.

Speaking to media at a function held at Solung ground here today Yomcha said that, She is among 55–member Indian team, led by coach Pema Dorjee Bhutia from Sikkim, lifting Association (Interim).She participated in the 65 kg category, both in strength lifting and incline bench press events. She said that since this is new game for state there is no coach so she practice this game watching video’s of YouTube and whatsup, which were sent by his coach.

She participated in the 6th international strength lifting with own expenditure and with the help by her parents friend and well-wisher, nor the government of India and government of Arunachal Pradesh had been help her ,she was written an application to state government but government did not help as saying that the game is new, she claim.

In competition there were representative from five countries like Indonesia, Malayasiya, Combodia, Sri Langka and India and  representing India   among 55–member Indian team including official  and I won silver medal in 65-kg category  she added.

She, appeal the state government to treats all sports as equally and help, encourage the sports person.

She further appeal the parents to treats their children girl and boy to equally encourage them for sports and games.

Expressing unhappy over the silence of both India and state government, the Kargu Kardi welfare society (KKWS) president Yikar Yomcha said that she makes proud to country as well as State by winning two silver medal in intonation strength lifting, State government should receive her grand manner but invain, he added. He also request the State government to write a letter to ministry of sports for recognise her.

Meanwhile, the Director of Sports Tadar Appa said that, sport Department never discriminate or deprive any one or any sports, we are always helping encouraging all the sports person or association as per possible manner ,who approach us with proper channel through their parents Association which is appellate with Director of sports, Arunachal Pradesh. But regarding this competition the director sport has yet receive any kinds of application or information. And he also said it has to conform that she was participated in completion or Invitation, because there is lots of procedure to participated in International level competition, Tadar added.
